Wotif.com CEO Awarded AIM Medal

Wotif.com
proudly announces that Graeme Wood, CEO and Founder, has been
awarded the Fisher & Paykel Medal for Management Innovation by the
Australian Institute of Management (AIM).

Announced at the 2004 Management Excellence Awards ceremony in Brisbane on
Friday 5 November, the Fisher and Paykel Medal for Management Innovation
celebrates the innovations of dynamic, pivotal and senior leaders in
business, recognising an individual who has developed a concept or practice
that significantly and offensively improves the business in which they work.

The AIM Medal is the second business award for Graeme this year.  Wotif.com
was the overall winner at the 2004 Premier of Queensland’s SMART Awards as
well as being granted the award for Outstanding Achievement by an
Organisation in the Services Sector.

Graeme launched Wotif.com in 2000, having recognised a niche in the
marketplace, and pioneered the selling of last-minute discounted
accommodation online.  With its price transparency and ease-of-use, this
innovation enabled travellers to utilise the concept of last-minute pricing,
allowing them to view and book their accommodation in a straightforward
manner.

Graeme now leads a team of over 65 on a global front, and maintains a deep
involvement in website design, technical innovations and targeted marketing
strategies.

Graeme Wood comments: “I am very proud to receive this award.  Innovation is
a key driving factor in Wotif.com’s business evolution.  To stay ahead in
online travel, you have to keep pushing the boundaries.  Online consumers
are becoming more sophisticated but still love an easy-to-use website.”
