Continental Airlines to sponsor CMExPress

Continental Airlines, will sponsor CMExPress, a new one-day Caribbean Media Exchange (CMEx) communications workshop for media professionals, the travel and tourism industry, and the public and private sector. CMExPress will take place on Friday, November 19, 2004, in Kingston, Jamaica.
As part of its sponsorship, Continental will present the new ?Diaspora Reporter? award during the Caribbean Media Awards ceremony, an extension of CMExPress and staged by the United Nations Population Fund.

?We are particularly pleased to sponsor the Diaspora Reporter award, since many of our customers are Caribbean residents in the U.S. who are travelling back home to visit friends and family in the Caribbean,? said Christy Rodgers, senior director of Latin America Sales, Continental Airlines. Continental has increased its service to the Caribbean by 22 percent since September 2003, a clear sign of the region?s importance for our airline.?
