An indulgent and invigorating
oceanfront resort, Fiesta Americana Grand’s AQUA will enliven the
experience of its guests with an atmosphere that is at once refreshing yet
provocative. Opening in Cancun in November, AQUA will be Posadas’ flagship
property - setting a new standard with an enlightened approach towards
luxury.
“AQUA will envelop its guests in a sensual atmosphere reflecting a modern
sensibility,” said Francisco Gutierrez, Regional Director of Fiesta
Americana Hotels. “It will be an environment that tickles the senses,
providing a seductive appeal balanced by a sense of wellness.”

A feeling of water and movement will surround guests as they enter the
hotel under a crystal cube fountain. The open lobby will provide
unobstructed views of the pool area and crystalline ocean beyond. Dressed
in breezy, white tunics, the staff will greet guests with characteristic
Mexican hospitality, making them feel instantly at home and catering to
their every preference.

All of AQUA’s rooms will face the ocean and have balconies. Each will be
personalized in ways that are surprising and whimsical; guests will be
able to select from among pillow types as well as aromatherapy oils and
candles, all of which will appear seamlessly during turn-down service. A
variety of playful items that will change daily-including a zen garden and
a fish bowl- will bring to life elements of nature.

Of course AQUA’s homage to water will include an outdoor oasis of pools to
encourage swimming and relaxed lounging. Bathers will be beckoned by
AQUA’s eight shimmering pools, surrounded by a wide assortment of lounging
options: chaises, queen size recliners and private cabanas.

AQUA’s signature spa will offer a special blend of Eastern, pre-Hispanic
and Western treatments. The spa will also have a steam room modeled after
the ancient Aztec ‘temazcal.’ Outdoor pilates will be offered, and each
morning yoga devotees will stretch at the beach.

Internationally-renowned Mexican chef and prolific cookbook author
Patricia Quintana will open SIETE at AQUA, her first restaurant outside of
Mexico City. Inspired by that spiritual, ‘lucky’ number, SIETE will
feature the sophisticated cuisine for which Quintana is known, in an
atmosphere that is contemporary and casual. AQUA will also feature a
restaurant by another well known chef, for which an announcement will soon
be made.

At sunset, a dramatic change of mood will occur at the beach as AQUA
transforms itself into a sensual playgound. A fire pit will be lit and
several graceful t’ai chi performers will mark the transition from sandy
daytime paradise to scintillating beachside lounge, with ambient music and
lighting provided strictly by fire. Soon to open in November 2004.
