New Greeter Service at Commodore Hotel

JOIE DE VIVRE HOSPITALITY, well known for its creative collection
of lifestyle-oriented hotels, restaurants, and spas in the Bay Area,
launches their Golden Gate Greeter Program, a free welcome visitor program
for guests of the Commodore Hotel.
Joie de Vivre Hospitality is the first hotel company to offer this level
of destination involvement, creating a vacation experience uniquely
memorable because of the people you meet. The Golden Gate Greeter program
is designed with visitor expectations in mind and to anticipate individual
tastes and preferences. While a traditional tour starts and follows a
specific route, a Greeter Visit is more like hanging out with a friend; a
more personalized service based upon convenient times for the visitor,
their personal interests, and needs.

A typical tour or “visit” between a hotel guest and a San Francisco
resident starts with a guest sharing their interests in the program with
the hotel. The hotel staff then gets their specific interests as well as
desired date and matches them with a local volunteer who shares similar
interests and availability.

This program is modeled on the successful ones already running in New York
& Chicago. Golden Gate Greeters are volunteers who simply love their city
and want to share that pride by helping visitors. Greeters explain the
layout of the city, how to use public transportation, where to find the
best buys and meals, and will uncover some of their favorite hidden
treasures of the city.
