Delta SkyWish Partners With Fisher House

Delta Air Lines SkyMiles
members now can donate miles to assist families of hospitalized military
personnel with their travel needs via a new SkyWish partnership with
Fisher House Foundation. Founded in 1990, Fisher House donates “comfort homes” built on the grounds
of major military and VA medical centers throughout the United States and
overseas. The network of 32 homes enables family members to be at the
bedside of a loved one who is receiving care at a nearby hospital.

“Delta has a significant military heritage, with more than 80 percent of
its pilots having served in the military,” said Jeff Robertson, director
of Delta’s SkyMiles Loyalty Program. “Mileage donation is one way Delta
and our SkyMiles program members can thank the men and women serving our
country.”

Fisher House uses donated frequent flyer miles to fly families of military
members wounded or injured in Iraq or Afghanistan to medical centers to be
near their injured relative. Often these families have to make many trips
and stay for months at a time to help seriously wounded soldiers through
long recuperations and multiple surgeries. Fisher House enables them to
spend quality time with their loved ones without worrying about how much
it will cost. Annually, the Fisher House program serves more than 7,000
families, and has made available more than 1.5 million days of lodging to
family members since 1990. For more information about Fisher House, visit
