Langham Opens Three Global Sales Offices

Langham Hotels
International, the wholly-owned hotel operating and asset management
subsidiary of publicly listed Great Eagle Holdings Limited,
announced today the opening of the Group’s Global Sales Offices in three
gateway cities across the United States, China and Australia. Due to the
rapid development of Langham Hotels International, the Group is expanding
its global sales network with Sales Offices being set up in New York,
Shanghai and Sydney. Brett Butcher, Senior Vice President—Sales & Marketing, Langham Hotels
International stated, “As Langham Hotels International expands, we have
selected three key feeder markets to bolster our sales activities for our
existing and planned hotel portfolio. It is no coincidence that these
cities are also targeted by Langham for future hotel presence.”

New York is the world’s leading financial centre and home to many
corporate and leisure head offices. By setting up a Global Sales Office in
New York, LHI will develop brand and sales presence in this most important
of markets. The Office will of course concentrate on our neighboring
Langham Boston property although the USA and specifically New York is
extremely important to each of our Hotels worldwide.

Langham has also chosen Shanghai, China as the city signifies the fastest
economic and financial growth in Asia, the economic engine of the 21st
century. This Global Sales Office will bring our network of hotels
high-yield business from China’s rapidly building government and corporate
markets and tourist travellers.

Australia is another significant feeder for the Langham Group. A Global
Sales Office in Sydney, the financial capital of the Pacific, is a
strategic choice to further strengthen Langham’s presence in Australia and
drive incremental business not only to Langham Melbourne (currently the
Sheraton Towers Southgate, to be rebranded as “Langham Hotel, Melbourne”
on 1 January 2005) and Langham Auckland (currently the Sheraton Auckland
Hotel and Towers, to be rebranded as “Langham Hotel, Auckland” on 1
January 2005), but also worldwide into our other property assets across
the globe.

Butcher concluded, “Langham Hotels International’s Global Sales Offices
will concentrate on growing our Langham brand in these key feeder markets,
and will also act as the local sales solution for our customers’ global
Hotel needs.”
