Business as usual at La Cabana Aruba

La Cabana All Suite Beach Resort in Aruba has reported that the property has withstood the weather conditions caused by Hurricane Ivan and has sustained no serious damage.All guests were urged to stay indoors for the duration of the storm, which consisted of torrential rain and winds reaching 45 mph, and resulted in an enlarged beach area.Ê Certain areas of the resort experienced minor ground flooding, which is now under control. The resort experienced a momentary loss of power at 3:00 am, however, back-up generators kicked in after 55 minutes and full power was restored.

La Cabana is pleased to announce that the property suffered no broken windows or cosmetic damage and that no one was injured during the storm.ÊThe 811-room property was at 75 percent capacity.

“We are thankful to have avoided any damage or injury during the storm,” said Albert Lacle, director of Sales & Marketing, La Cabana. “Business as usual will continue at La Cabana,” he added.

Currently, several outside buildings, including most restaurants and the Intermezzo Day Spa, and the pool area remains closed as a tropical storm watch remains in effect for Aruba. The Captain’s Table remains open for all meals.

“Guests who were unable to reach Aruba due to flight cancellations or delays will not be penalised for time lost,” said Lacle.
