Wingate Inns Wins Number One Power

The Wingate Inn hotel chain has been ranked first in its class and the third-best overall hotel brand in North America in the 2004 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study. This top accolade is particularly highly prized since it has been awarded by J. D Power and Associates, one of the USA’s most trusted sources of consumer research and rankings.Wingate is ranked highest in the mid-priced, limited-service category, leading the field against strong contenders including Marriott’s Springhill Suites, Carlson’s Country Inns & Suites, Hilton’s Hampton Inn and InterContinental’s Holiday Inn Express brands.  Wingate Inn also achieved the third-highest overall score across all segments, following luxury brands Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and The Ritz-Carlton.
J.D. Power said the Wingate Inn brand “has become a standout in the industry due to steady improvements over the past three years.”  Wingate Inn achieved 813 out of a possible 1,000 points and top ratings in the categories of check-in/check-out, guest room, food and beverage, hotel facilities and costs and fees.  The study was based on responses from 29,424 guests who stayed in a hotel between December 2003 and June 2004.
