Boykin Reports Impact of Hurricane Charley

Boykin Lodging Company , a
hotel real estate investment trust, today reported the impact of Hurricane
Charley on its three properties in Southwest Florida.
The Company’s Best Western Fort Myers Island Gateway Hotel and its
Radisson Suite Beach Resort located on Marco Island were evacuated prior
to the storm. Both hotels suffered only minor damage and have since
reopened.

The Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa, located on Estero Island, a barrier
island, was evacuated in anticipation of the hurricane and remains closed
as access to the island is currently restricted. The resort will reopen
once access to the island is restored and the grounds are cleared of
debris. A preliminary review indicated minimal damage to the guestrooms
within the White Sand Villas, Sanibel View Villas and Beach Villas
buildings. The Captiva and Useppa buildings, however, suffered greater
damage and those 43 rooms will remain closed for repair. The Company
anticipates, based on current information, that the Pink Shell Beach
Resort & Spa should reopen within one week.
