Fain is inductee of Travel Industry Hall of Leaders

Richard D. Fain, chairman & CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., has been chosen as the 2004 inductee to the Travel Industry Hall of Leaders. Fain was selected by a committee of senior travel industry executives appointed by the Travel Industry Association of America (TIA).
Individuals eligible for induction are those persons “whose efforts have made sustained and distinguished contributions that have had a positive impact on the overall travel and tourism industry.”

“The choice of Richard is a testimonial to, and recognition of, the entrepreneurial spirit that drives the U.S. travel and tourism industry,” remarked William S. Norman, president and CEO of the Travel Industry Association of America. “He has developed and nurtured successful enterprises that have generated wealth for our nation and created jobs for thousands of people.”

“Richard has made a lasting mark on our industry through his achievements and his outstanding record of community service,” added Norman. “He has created a legacy of excellence that we can all strive for.”
