Mandarin Oriental has appointed experienced hotelier Ms Anja Luthje, as the luxury hotel group’s new Corporate Director of Rooms, effective from June 2004.Ms Luthje brings almost 18 years of operational and corporate expertise to the Group. Her operations experience includes significant exposure in the fields of Reservations, Revenue Management and Front of House. She joins Mandarin Oriental from her previous corporate role as Rooms, Revenue and Channel Distribution Manager for The Peninsula Group.

Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Ms Luthje has held senior management positions in the United Kingdom, Middle East, Europe and North America with Inter-Continental Hotels Group.

The newly-created global role is based in Hong Kong at the Group’s corporate offices.

Ms Luthje is a German national and speaks fluent English, German and French.
