St. Vincent’s Grenadine has won the coveted title of “World’s Best Caribbean Island Destination” in Travel + Leisure Magazine’s 2004 World Best Awards. The 9th annual reader survey is announced in the magazine’s August 2004 issue (on newsstands July 27) and the special awards presentation will be held in New York City, July 29 at Lincoln Centre. “Word on our pristine islands, untouched and un-commercialized, must be getting out!  It’s no surprise that Travel + Leisure’s sophisticated readers are the first to find us out,” commented Hon. René Baptiste, Minister of Tourism & Culture, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This award marks the debut of St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the list.
