The Royal Cliff Resort Receives CNN Service Award
The Royal Cliff Beach Resort formally received the
Cable News Network’s (CNN) prestigious Ultimate Service Award 2004
for Asia. The award was presented by Time Incorporated and CNN’s Dr.
Anthony Sharma during an exclusive cocktail reception held in the
Royal Cliff Grand. “The Ultimate Service Award represents the highest level of hotel
service,” noted Dr. Sharma in his speech at the reception. “The Royal
Cliff Beach Resort with its world-class facilities and commendable
excellence in service, was the top choice in Asia with an overwhelming
margin of votes from travellers world-wide,” he added.
In accepting the award on behalf of the Resort’s entire staff and
management team, Managing Director Mrs. Panga Vathanakulthanked “... the
innumerable number of guests who have walked through our doors and
whom we have had the pleasure of serving over the years…” and
commended the Resort’s service staff “for all their efforts and
dedication”.
“The warm and satisfied smiles that we see on our guests’ faces and
the same smiles that greet us on their return is enough motivation for
all of us. To receive an award because of our guests’ appreciation is
truly more than we can ask for,” she said.
Results of this year’s Ultimate Service Awards were first announced
by respected CNN host and major award sponsor, Ms. Becky Anderson at
the Global Travel and Tourism Summit held in Doha in May 2004.
