FlightScanner Reaches Support 50 for Airlines
Dolphin Dynamics Ltd, developers of FlightScanner has announced that FlightScanner now provides search and booking support for 50 airline websites. This significant milestone was achieved following the recent addition of Wizz Air, Evolavia, Independence Air, EUjet, Norwegian, Vueling Airlines and Skyways to the list of supported carriers.
Since it was launched in April 2002, providing search functionality for five main low cost carriers, FlightScanner has undergone continuous development and evolution. Today the search functionality provides the ability to simultaneously check GDS and net fares alongside web fares for the 50 supported airlines.
Two years on FlightScanner is used by over 7,000 travel agents, including such well-known names as BTI, STA Travel, Portman Travel, The Travel Company, Gray Dawes, Flight Centre and Cresta, and is present on desktops in over 20 countries worldwide.
FlightScanner’s data service offering has also been an area of tremendous growth. Increasingly travel companies want to integrate FlightScanner into their own applications. FlightScanner IBE enables the integration of FlightScanner into third party websites and applications via XML, allowing them to seamlessly sell “no frills” flights and web fares directly to consumers, either individually or as part of dynamic packages.
Commenting on today’s announcement Roberto Da Re, Dolphin Dynamics President, said, “Since its inception and launch FlightScanner has been at the leading edge of integration of web content on a single platform. It has helped travel agents and airlines alike to take advantage of the changes in the industry. Reaching support for 50 airlines marks a significant milestone for FlightScanner, but we haven’t finished there. We are committed to continuing to respond to the changing demands of the market and the needs of our customers.”
