Marriott was recently named “Best
Hotel Chain in North America” and “Best Hotel Chain in Latin America” in
Global Finance’s annual ranking of the world’s best hotels and airlines
for business travelers. Based on a poll of 15,000 readers, Marriott
remains the top preference in North America for the second year in a row.
Global Finance readers also listed their preferences for individual
properties, by region. Among the “Best Hotels in North America” were the
Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center and the JW Marriott Hotel Miami.
Readers listed the JW Marriott Hotel & Stellaris Casino, Lima, Peru, as
one of the “Best Hotels in Latin America.” In other regions of the world,
the Budapest Marriott and the Marriott Hotel Warsaw were two of the
readers’ top picks for “Best Hotels in Europe,” while the Marriott Hotel
Islamabad ranked as one of the “Best Hotels in Asia/Pacific.”
