On Command Introduces New Interactive Games to Hotels

On Command Corporation announced today that it has signed a multi-year contract with
BettingCorp under which BettingCorp will
develop interactive games for On Command.

“Our new iGames will greatly expand the Games category for us,” said Tad
Walden, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Programming for On Command.
“Our new partnership with BettingCorp will help further extend its brand
awareness to the hotel market.”

BettingCorp, which has extensive experience in the development of client
server games, will deliver the new services to On Command’s hotels and
guests from a remotely hosted server using its UltimateOne platform.
Guests will interact with the services using existing in-room television
remote controls and wireless Internet keyboards, eliminating the need for
additional in-room hardware and maintenance issues for the hotelier.

“BettingCorp’s server-based gaming solution is ideal for games services
such as On Command’s,” said Jim Chiddix, OpenTV’s Chairman and CEO. “Not
only is it a robust, flexible solution which allows rapid game updates
across the entire room base, but its state-of-the-art back-office
functionality allows detailed analysis of all gaming activity and also
allows us to constantly adjust the service to reflect customer needs.”

On Command plans to kick off its new iGames product to all of its
Internet-enabled hotels with an initial selection of 15 BettingCorp games,
in addition to games from other providers. Game categories will include
Casino and Skill Games including Word & Trivia, Children’s, Classics &
Arcade, and Puzzle Games.
