Virgin Atlantic Airways today announced that, as football fever grips the nation, the airline will be helping passengers to keep up to date with the scores and catch up on the highlights of Euro 2004.  For passengers who will be flying during those crucial England matches our pilots will be announcing the scores onboard during the flight and ten minute highlights of the previous day’s matches will be shown over the inflight entertainment system at the beginning of each flight.  If Upper Class passengers want to calm any pre-match nerves or re-enact any of the best Euro 2004 moments they can play table football, which will be provided in both the Gatwick and Heathrow Clubhouses.  On the days of England’s matches, in the Heathrow Clubhouse, passengers can enjoy traditional English sandwiches or try out the traditional sandwiches of England’s football opponents. Passengers in the Gatwick Clubhouse can enjoy a hearty ‘Three Lions’ breakfast. 

Onboard Virgin Atlantic will also be giving all passengers chocolate footballs and holding football trivia competitions with limited edition football memorabilia for adults and goody bags for children as prizes.

Each Virgin Atlantic passenger has their own seat-back television screen which means that those who are not football crazy can watch up to 200 hours of video and audio programming.
