New spa developments for P&O Australian resorts

P&O Australian Resorts has completed a comprehensive development programme to become Australia’s largest luxury spa operator, with six P&O Australian Resorts now offering signature spas.
Following a further investment of AU$6 million, The Healing Waters Spa at Silky Oaks Lodge, The Azure Spa on Lizard Island and The Spa of Peace and Plenty on Dunk Island have all been upgraded, offering guests the chance to unwind and relax during their stay in heightened luxury. Additionally, a brand new spa - The Aqua Soul Spa - has been unveiled on Heron Island.

The Healing Waters Spa at Silky Oaks Lodge, set on the edge of The Daintree National Park, has undergone a facelift with the creation of a sleek new interior. A new wing has also been added with two single massage rooms, a vichy room and a dramatic signature treatment space, which opens out to a deck with glorious rainforest and river views. A new treatment menu has been developed with Sodashi products (a premium all-Australian botanical skin and body care range) joining the indigenous-inspired Li’tya range.

The spa on Lizard Island has been renamed the Azure Spa in tribute to the vibrant blue waters surrounding the island, which is located directly on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Its recent expansion has seen the addition of a vichy shower, a double-massage room and a steam room, allowing guests to enjoy an assortment of new relaxation and therapeutic treatments.

On Dunk Island, the Spa of Peace & Plenty has a new treatment programme and has doubled in size with the addition of two new vichy treatment rooms, a steam room and a double signature treatment room with an oversized tub. The tranquil surroundings have been further enhanced by landscaped gardens with cascading streams and a reflection pond.

The brand new Aqua Soul Spa on Heron Island, a true coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef, has recently opened with a comprehensive menu of signature treatments, inspired by the rich beauty of the sea. The Spa is comprised of three single massage rooms, a private steam room and a double therapy room, giving the option for partners or friends to enjoy treatments together.
