Soneva Fushi Resort & Spa Introduces Tree Houses to the Maldives

As the recognised innovator of exceptional guest experiences, Six Senses Resorts & Spas are creating the first tree-houses in the Maldives at the flagship property - Soneva Fushi Resort & Six Senses Spa.Soneva Fushi Resort is uniquely located on the private island of Kunfunadhoo, one of the few islands that is rich with vegetation and where sandy bicycle pathways meander beneath a jungle-like canopy. The island extends almost one and a half kilometres by half a kilometre and is located in the northern Baa Atoll - a 25-minute exhilarating sea plane trip from the International Airport of Male.

The two extraordinary Tree Houses will be interrelated with prime accommodations to become Soneva Fushi Villa Suite & Tree House, and Soneva Fushi Jungle Reserve; with both compounds having their own beachfront onto the lagoon.

Soneva Fushi Villa Suite & Tree House comprises a rustic Crusoe-style villa suite with oversize day beds that can be converted into a second bedroom, an open-air private garden bathroom, and all the personal comforts that deliver the promise of Intelligent Luxury. The Tree House is adjacent to the villa and is two metres above beach-level. It has a bunk bed plus a single bed, an ensuite bathroom and a slide into the private free-form pool.

Soneva Fushi Jungle Reserve features a one-bedroom villa with an open garden bathroom. The villa can be opened on all sides to enjoy the breeze - or air-conditioned. A footbridge connects to a Spa Villa that comprises a sitting room, a steam-room and spritz shower, and a massage pavilion. A personal air-conditioned gym is located in an adjacent pavilion. The private pool wraps around the villa in a half-moon free-form shape. A further The Tree House features a bunk bed and a single bed, a toilet and a slide into the swimming pool.

As with all accommodations at Soneva Fushi Resort, both complexes have home entertainment systems and an available library of DVDs. There is internet access, however with a philosophy of No News No Shoes, it is recommended that a minimum of time be spent connected.
