Frontier Airlines today
announced it has accepted delivery of its 26th Airbus A319, #N927FR. The
airline will lease the 132-seat A319 jet from International Lease Finance
Corporation (ILFC) and, with today’s announcement, Frontier’s fleet of 41
aircraft consists of 10 Boeing 737-300s, 26 Airbus A319s, and five Airbus
A318s.
Each of Frontier’s aircraft features a unique wildlife theme on its tail,
depicting animals native to the continental United States. The airline’s
newest aircraft features a photo of a bottle-nosed dolphin on each side of
its tail and on its wingtips. This particular dolphin also stars as “Flip”
in Frontier’s award-winning commercials.
