The MSC Italian Cruises’ newest ship, the MSC Opera, has confirmed plans to include St. Croix in its itinerary of Caribbean ports of call. The new vessel, featuring state-of-the-art amenities such as a fully equipped gym
and jogging track, two swimming pools and hot tubs, a virtual reality center
and an onboard shopping gallery, is scheduled to visit St. Croix a total of
seven times between December 2004 and March 2005.

The Ann Abramson Pier has
secured berthing from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. during each of the cruise ships’
visits before continuing its tour through the Caribbean.
