Datalex, has been contracted to supply the new travel agency technology platform for JTB Corp. (JTB), Japan’s leading travel agency group.  The contract is the first of its kind to be awarded by JTB to a foreign technology company, and represents continued success for Datalex in gaining a foothold in the burgeoning Asia-Pacific market.

This multi-year agreement signifies a strategic relationship between JTB and Datalex, and will see Datalex working with JTB’s internal IT organization, JTB Systems Solution Inc. (JSS), and a number of local Japanese partners. 

 

The Datalex solution is based on the components of the BookIt! suite of software and complements the wide range of prepackaged and escorted tour programs offered by JTB, which, along with its comprehensive leisure e-travel services, an extensive network of overseas offices and over 90 years of business operation, distinguish the company as the number one travel agency group in Japan, and as a travel industry world-leader.
