SIA Serves Up A Treat For Young Travellers

Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) young passengers can now enjoy their favourite meal even when miles away from home with the launch of Yummy!, the Airline’s new Book-The-Cook service for children.

Like its adult equivalent, Yummy! allows young passengers in First and Raffles Class to pre-order their meals up to 24 hours before flight departure. Boasting a selection of 12 tasty but healthy dishes, including sausages ‘n’ pancakes, spaghetti with meatballs, and seafood fried rice, the Yummy! menu was specially developed following an extensive customer research and feedback survey during which children of varying ages were invited to sample a variety of dishes and to pick what they liked best. This allowed SIA to prepare a menu that would keep both the children and their parents happy.

Said Vice President Inflight Services Eddie Ong: “At SIA, our young travellers are as important to us as the grown-ups. We believe that keeping children entertained and well-nourished contribute to a memorable flying experience for both the children as well as the adults.”

Young passengers can place their orders online at www.singaporeair.com (for tickets booked online) or by telephone or fax. The service will be available to passengers travelling on flights from Singapore, Amsterdam, Dubai, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Newark, New York, San Francisco, Sydney, Taipei and Tokyo.

Ê In addition to Yummy!, children travelling on all classes each receive a plush toy from SIA’s exclusive range of Peanuts® collectibles, colouring activity kits, tote bags, baby face towels and sling pouches.Ê SIA’s KrisWorld entertainment system also provides a selection of 29 movies, more than 75 TV programmes, over 150 music CD albums, and more than 30 Nintendo® games for young travellers to choose from.Ê
