SkyWest Airlines Reports February Traffic

  SkyWest Airlines, Inc. reported a 33.3 percent increase in revenue
passenger miles (RPMs) for February, while available seat miles (ASMs)
increased 29.7 percent compared to the same period last year. The airline
generated 374.2 million RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 530.8
million. Load factor was 70.5 percent compared to 68.5 percent for the
same period last year. Passenger boardings for February totaled 936,401, a
30.2 percent increase over February 2003.
SkyWest Airlines was named the number one on-time airline in the United
States by the Department of Transportation for 2003, a year in which they
carried 10.7 million passengers. SkyWest operates as United Express, Delta
Connection and Continental Connection carriers under marketing agreements
with United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Continental Airlines
respectively. System-wide, SkyWest has approximately 6,100 employees and
serves a total of 106 cities in 28 states and three Canadian provinces
with more than 1,200 daily departures.
