USATODAY.com Travel Names New Consumer Columnist
Linda Burbank has been named the new travel problem-solver on USATODAY.com Travel
(travel.usatoday.com).
Burbank is an experienced consumer travel journalist. She launched the
“Consumer Power” ombudsman’s column for the Consumer Reports Travel
Letter, obtaining results for readers writing in with travel complaints.
She is also a contributing editor to National Geographic Traveler.
Burbank’s column will debut in March. Readers can contact her with travel
questions or complaints at [email protected].
“There’s a lot of travel writing on the Web, but this is one place where
travelers can trust what they read,” said Andrew Sherry, editor of
USATODAY.com Travel. “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring together
such a strong group of columnists and contributors.”
USATODAY.com Travel was launched in May 2001, to provide the many frequent
travelers in the USA TODAY audience with the travel news, information,
resources and tools that they need, 24 hours a day. It was expanded and
redesigned in November 2003.
The site’s features include real-time coverage of flight delays, exclusive
city guides tailored for time-pressed business travelers, flight tracking,
a comprehensive hotel directory, hotel reviews, and exclusive travel
specials and deals.
