Travelocity Introduces New Hotel Shopping Engine

Travelocity has announced the revamp of its hotel-shopping engine to enable customers to tailor their search for a hotel in virtually any area, whether their main focus is price, amenities, or property ratings. The enhanced hotel search options from Travelocity make finding the hotel tailor-made for customers’ individual tastes even easier and faster than before while helping price-sensitive travelers stay within a certain budget.
The upgraded hotel shopping path also features a unique “information grid” with traveler reviews, hotel descriptions and photos, amenities and world-renowned “AAA” diamond ratings. In addition, shoppers can now sort hotels by price, rating, name, and distance from a certain geographical location. Travelocity users will also find a marked improvement in search response times.
“Travelocity has always been committed to improving the shopping experience based on our customers’ feedback, and this is definitely the case with the enhancements to our hotel shopping engine,” said Josh Feuerstein, vice president, hotels for Travelocity. “We want to make it as easy and useful as possible so that whenever customers shop our site, they do it with a sense of confidence and satisfaction.”
These user-friendly enhancements will be clear, comprehensive and time-saving as well - hotel searches at Travelocity are now significantly faster and less complicated.
“With tools like TotalPriceSM for car rentals and TotalCruiseSM, Travelocity shoppers have the flexibility and options to help them make better, more informed travel decisions,” Feuerstein said. “We’re thrilled to have broadened this philosophy to our hotel shoppers as well.”
