Steiner Leisure Limited, the parent company of the number 1 British Spa brand Elemis and cosmeceutical brand La Thérapie, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to develop and operate a world class luxury Mandara spa facility at One&Only Palmilla, Los Cabos, Mexico, part of One&Only Resorts, the luxury resorts brand owned and operated by Kerzner International. The agreement provides that Steiner Leisure will build out the spa facilities in approximately 22,000 square feet of space offering clients a myriad of treatments from the Elemis and La Thérapie range of products and treatments.

One&Only Palmilla, the newest addition to Kerzner`s collection of One&Only Resorts, is currently undergoing an extensive renovation and expansion that will increase the number of rooms, all with stunning views of the ocean, to 172 transforming one of the best known properties in the Los Cabos region into an unparalleled five-star destination.

This new spa is being built to take advantage of the unique natural vistas and scenic beauty of the Baja landscape. The architecture will capture the enchantment of Old Mexico with red tile roofs, whitewashed walls, sparkling fountains and charming elegance. The spa is situated adjacent to the renowned Palmilla chapel, a landmark element of the resort. The main spa facility will encompass six separate buildings surrounded by lush landscaping.

Signature features of the location include twelve private villa treatment rooms creating a discrete sanctuary with an open-air garden, daybed, rain shower for two and an air-conditioned massage pavilion.

The spa menu will offer clients an assortment of treatments ranging from power-boosting facials to exotic rituals and detox packages.

A full compliment of spa services custom tailored for the unique Mexican setting and spa environment will be offered.

Steiner Leisure estimates that the build-out will cost approximately $3.5 million and will open in February 2004.
