TeleMatrix Introduces PassPort for High Speed Connectivity

Business travelers have spoken. High speed Internet access while on the
road is now expected. The majority of hoteliers are responding.
TeleMatrix, the telephone technological leader, pioneers an easy and
cost-effective means for high speed connectivity in the hotel room.

PassPort

Incorporating high speed RJ-45 connectors in selected models of the
Marquis(R) line hospitality telephones, the internet savvy traveler
connects his/her laptop computer to high speed circuits in the same
familiar manner that dial-up access is connected.

No more clumsy “interconnect” stands for the phones to set on or to fall
off. No more standalone boxes or cables to clutter the desk top. Just a
simple connector on the side of the phone. Plug in your laptop and away
you go.

The Key to Happiness

TeleMatrix designs its telephones for now and the future. Hoteliers
offering high speed access now, simply order the selected models
configured for PassPort(TM). For those not yet offering high speed, they
simply order sets of normal configuration. Obsolescence? No way. On-site
modifications are made easy. Covers are simply removed from the high speed
connectors and the patent-pending PassPort(TM) KEY is inserted, activating
connectivity. Cost of connection—a fraction of current and now, old
fashioned means.

Dale Pelletier, President and CEO of TeleMatrix who led the charge to un-
clutter the desk top remarks: “PassPort(TM) technology was designed to aid
and enhance connectivity. The business traveler is very familiar with
plugging his laptop into the dial up data jacks we pioneered on hotel
telephones. PassPort(TM) merely offers the same means for high speed
access. The traveler is happy and the hotelier is happy to offer a service
with ease of connection and high reliability.”

PassPort(TM) will become available on selected models of the Marquis(R)
hospitality product line beginning 4th quarter of 2003.
