Today we speak to Barbara Helzlsouer, Regional Director NYC, Sabre Holdings - “World’s Leading GGDS/CRS”.Click here To see a complete list of travel technology winners.

1. What does a World Travel Award mean to you?

It’s the best recognition a company can obtain - right from the marketplace you serve. It says to us “you meet our needs better than anyone else.”  And it enthuses us to keep on surpassing expectations and leading the industry.

2. Where did you put your trophy?

We will place the trophy in our corporate trophy case for all visitors and employees to see.

3. How important are awards in our industry?

We recognize awards as a vote of confidence from the people who know the industry better than anyone else - our customers.

4. How did you achieve the ‘world’s best’ in technology this year?

It wasn’t one new product or technology.  We believe it was based on Sabre Travel Network’s continued excellence in delivering the technology that runs today’s travel distribution marketplace.

5. How will you ensure you maintain your high standards in the coming year?

You can’t achieve what you can’t measure.  So we believe in measuring our progress as a company - in terms of technical proficiency, customer expectations, and financial performance.

Tomorrow we will feature an exclusive interview Alan Wong, General Manager Corporate Communicatio, Cathay Pacific - winners of the World’s Leading Use of Inflight Technology category
