Angsana Spa Great Barrier Reef Awarded Best Hotel Spa In Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific Regi

Angsana Spa Great Barrier Reef clinched the Best Hotel Health/Day Spa Award at the inaugural HM Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence.
The two-and-a-half-year-old spa beat five other spas in Australia including Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, Golden Door Spa at Cypress Lakes and Hyatt Regency Coolum to emerge the winner.
Held at the Sydney Opera House, the awards was hosted by HM or Hotel & Accommodation Management magazine and co-hosted by Hotel Motel & Accommodation Association (HMAA), Australian Automobile Association (AAA) Tourism, Blue Mountains Hotel School, and accommodation software company HiRUM.
Featuring over 160 finalists in 36 categories, HM Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence recognised the hard work and dedication from individuals, departments and properties across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Nominations for the Awards were recommended by seasoned professionals in the hospitality and tourism industry and put to an industry panel of judges.
“Angsana Spa Great Barrier Reef, which has its origins in Singapore and roots in Thailand, has made an indelible impression in the hospitality industry winning this prestigious award.  The resort team headed here in Australia is prepared to scale new heights with the recent addition of newly furbished Spa Therapy Suites and the introduction of our innovative Spa Menu,” says Mr Nicholas Mason, General Manager of Angsana Resort & Spa Great Barrier Reef.
East-meets-West Spa Therapies

Inspired by age-old Asian health and beauty remedies and given a modern twist are the refreshing spa therapies offered at Angsana Spa Great Barrier Reef
Created from natural ingredients, the spa treatments include Creamy Banana Wrap, Fresh Coconut Rub, Tangy Tamarind Scrub, Purifying Potato Mask and the signature Angsana Massage and Angsana Facial.
Spacious Spa Pavilions & Suites
To meet the increase in spa goers, Angsana Spa Great Barrier Reef added five air-conditioned spa suites to its existing three rooftop spa pavilions
Featuring side-by-side spa beds for couples, each suite or pavilion reawakens the senses with its contemporary décor and vibrant hues of lime green and tangerine.
Unimpeded Views of the Sea

Angsana Great Barrier Reef is the only resort and spa in the Cairns and Palm Cove region to boast absolute beach frontage to the magnificent Coral Sea, which opens directly onto the awe-inspiring Great Barrier Reef
Furthermore, Palm Cove was also awarded ‘Australia’s Cleanest Beach’ at this year’s National ‘Keep Australia Beautiful’ Clean Beach Challenge. Situated on the coast of Tropical North Queensland, the picturesque beach was given the top honours for a variety of reasons: its sensitive approach to beachfront development, litter prevention, tree preservation and unique landscaping style.
