The Waldorf-Astoria, the renowned New York landmark hotel, has announced the opening of the propertyå‘s new Plus One Spa, a 4,000 sq-ft facility to deliver high-quality spa, beauty and fitness services.

“We are very excited to have added yet another amenity to the list of services we offer our guests,” said General Manager Eric Long. “There is no better fit for us than a partnership with Plus One, a company known for their spa development in premium hotels.”

With sweeping views from the 19th floor of the Waldorf-Astoria, the Plus One Spa provides guests with a vast range of spa services together with in-room and personalised treatments created exclusively for the Waldorf.
The spa houses six large treatment rooms, a VIP room, private showers and a rejuvenation lounge. In addition to the beauty treatments, the Plus One Spa provides personal fitness training, yoga classes and nutritional counselling. The Waldorf-Astoria is the first hotel to feature a Plus One branded spa.

Signature Waldorf treatments include The Duke and Duchess Suite Retreat, for couples’ side-by-side massages followed by Champagne, as well as the Waldorf Salad Gommage, a full-body exfoliation and massage treatment using ground black walnuts blended with apple extract - similar to the ingredients that make up the famous salad invented by Oscar Tschirky in 1896.

Other specialty treatments designed specifically for the hotel are The Chocolate Pansy, a chocolate sugar exfoliation followed by a milk-and-honey cocoon wrap with a tasting of rich chocolate and The Double Manhattan, which features two therapists working simultaneously to give guests a botanical facial massage and peppermint foot treatment.

In keeping with the increasing requests for spa treatments among male guests, the spa also offers a menu of services designed for male spa-goers. The Dragonfly menu features The Presidential treatment, a total body tune-up with a 45-minute personal training session and a 25-minute massage. And The Gentlemen’s Facial, a Cleansing Back Treatment, Swedish Massage and a Deep Tissue Hot Stone Massage.
