The fabulous Zen style spa will be known as The Shiseido Spa at Le Mas Candille, a gloriously sophisticated and elegant 40-bedroom retreat that has recently undergone a multi-million pound redevelopment and enjoys a stunning setting in the hills just outside Cannes.

The Shiseido Spa, which is located in its own landscaped gardens, within a private area of the hotel’s 40,000m2 of secluded grounds, has been beautifully designed and purpose built to create an idyllic haven in which to experience the very best spa therapies. These include a wonderful selection of face and body treatments based on an oriental philosophy using Shiseido’s unique Qi Method and superb product range.Each of the treatment suites has its own out-door Japanese garden where the client can relax before and/or after treatments. There are also make-up and manicure/pedicure areas and a Shiseido boutique. In addition, all clients have access to the spa grounds, which feature a Jacuzzi set in a decorative pond and an out-door gym together with quiet relaxation areas.

The Shiseido Spa is open to non-residents, as well as hotel guests, for individual treatments and half and full day programmes. Special spa leisure breaks are also offered by Le Mas Candille.

The Shiseido Qi Method

Developed exclusively by Shiseido, the Qi Method focuses on the importance the body’s energy, or ‘Qi’, plays in our well-being. It is centred on the belief that true beauty comes from a harmony between body and mind. All the treatments are designed to achieve this balance and concentrate as much on total well-being as on improving skin condition.

The treatments use a combination of shiatsu pressure point work, oshiboris (special Japanese hot towels) and aromachological fragrances (which enhance the physical and psychological sense of well-being) to stimulate the tsubo points, which are situated on the path of the Qi flow.
Traditionally practised in Eastern medicine, applying pressure on these points can be used to either stimulate inactive parts of the body or calm overactive parts. The overall effect is to balance body and mind energy, to improve the appearance of your skin and leave you feeling either relaxed or energised.

Visitors to this very special spa can choose therapies from a unique menu of relaxing and energising treatments for the face and body, including quick tension release, clarifying, cleansing and firming care.
