The Pier House Resort and Caribbean Spa is completing the final touches on a dramatic $4.5 million renovation, an extensive enhancement program of the entire property, which has been in process for the last two years, and includes accommodations, special guest facilities, meeting space, food and beverage outlets, landscaping and exterior facade.  The renovation transforms the legendary Key West resort from its former position as an uninhibited, tropical hideaway to a more sophisticated, world-class vacation experience.

The exterior of all resort buildings have a fresh new look in a light sand hue with white trim, as well as refurbished railings, lighting and signage.  Guestrooms in the Main and Garden buildings received new soft goods, furniture, hardwood floors and colorful décor that reflects the natural beauty of Key West.  The pool and hot tub areas were completely redone, with enhanced landscaping, new deck and pool surfaces, lighting and expanded bathrooms.  The resort’s entrance has been completely redesigned with a new circular drive, pergola, signage, and distinct landscaping with a water feature, providing greater ease and accessibility for guests.
The food and beverage outlets have also been updated and enhanced.  One Duval, a new restaurant launched October 17, 2001, features ‘New Calypso Harvest’ cuisine by renowned Executive Chef Will Greenwood, with dining and cocktails in an elegantly casual waterfront setting that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico.  Enjoy a late lunch or dinner at the newly refurbished Beach Bar & Grill, where light fare, cocktails and live music celebrate the open-air cabana atmosphere.  The Market Bistro offers a street-side café ambiance with fresh-baked delights and deli favorites.  Share cocktails and stories with the locals at the infamous Chart Room Bar, the true flavor of Old Key West.

Another new addition for meetings and groups is the HarbourView Conference Room with 1,700 square feet of flexible meeting space located at the water’s edge with spacious deck and seating area for cocktails and pre- and post-meeting functions.  Full service catering, business and audio-visual services are available.
