Worldspan Chosen As PB Air Expands

Worldspan has announced a major agreement with Thai airline PB Air to host the carrier`s operating systems as it extends operations from Thailand to international markets.
Under the agreement, Worldspan will provide all the airport applications to enable PB Air effective entry into the international marketplace. The systems, once fully installed, will cover all aspects of the ground handling services for PB Air, from customer check-in to baggage handling.
PB Air will launch international services in October 2001 and Worldspan will host the reservations system from mid-May. PB Air will begin system training at Worldspan headquarters in Atlanta.
Both the airline and travel agents who book with PB Air will benefit through the use of Worldspan technology. For PB Air, greater efficiency and cost benefits will result from the facilitation of IT services, including management of flight inventories, fares and pricing. The travel agent will also enjoy added efficiency by having a direct link to PB Air`s reservation system, enabling them to book seats directly.
