Delta Gets Even More Agent-Friendly

Travel agents using a newly released online booking tool at Delta`s travel agent-only Web site, the Online Agency Service Center, can now offer clients fares and discounts formerly available only through Delta`s Web site.
This new travel agent booking capability, a product of Delta`s Sales & Distribution, e-Business, and Delta Technology units, is a direct result of travel agents` requests for access to Web fares for their clients and complements the comprehensive, easily searchable online travel agency reference centre on Delta`s Web site. Delta is one of the first major airlines to offer travel agents direct online booking with access to Web-only fares. SkyMiles bonuses are available through these bookings. In a separate story, Delta has named Debbie Siek vice president-Reservation Sales, replacing Harlan Bennett, who is now vice president-Revenue Management. She has served as acting vice president of Reservation Sales for the past six months.
In her new position, Ms. Siek is responsible for 11,000 employees worldwide and $1.9 billion in annual revenue and oversees Delta`s reservations operations and global reservations strategy for the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Debbie Siek serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Reservations Executives.
