BBA Aviation appoints Best as President, Asia Pacific

BBA Aviation has announced the appointment of David Best as president, Asia Pacific.

In this new role, Best will be responsible for the strategic development of the aviation support and aftermarket services provider and its businesses in Asia Pacific.

As well as shepherding existing operations in the region, Best will work closely with the divisional management teams on the timely and effective delivery of BBA Aviation’s services and products to this growing market.

David joined Signature Flight Support (a BBA Aviation company) in 2004 as managing director, EMEA where he managed the development of Signature’s European FBO network.

He was promoted to the role of chief commercial officer in 2009 where he formed the commercial team consisting of sales, marketing, revenue management and brand extension.

David has overseen the design and the implementation of Signature’s ‘go to market’ initiatives including Signature Status.

He is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde where he earned his MBA and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

David will commence his new role on January 1st 2012 and is likely to be based in Singapore.
