Luxury travel agency Bacall Associates has signed the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay as its latest client.

The first international luxury hotel brand on Phu Quoc Island, the resort opened its doors to the public in January, with the irreverent style of renowned architect Bill Bensley evident throughout this very special resort.

Bensley’s design narrative for the site was a fictional academy of learning, Lamarck University, inspired by French naturalist Jean Baptiste Lamarck. 

This vision is carried throughout the resort, giving it a truly harmonious aesthetic.

An evolution in the architectural style, from its supposed beginnings in the 1880s through to the 1940s, ensures that resort feels like a collection of individual boutique hotels, rather than a large resort, and each building is modelled after an academic department.

Accommodation comprises 244 spacious and beautifully appointed rooms, suites, villas and houses, in which meticulously sourced original art, antiques, curios and artefacts lend a whimsical air that blends harmoniously with modern comfort and JW world-class service to make for an exceptional stay.

Exclusive excursions open this Pearl Island up to the curious and adventurous, whether they want to explore the land, sea or river, and for those days when only a sun lounger and a good book will do, the resort sits on a pristine beach and has three outdoor pools with uninterrupted views of Emerald Bay.

The Alice in Wonderland themed Chanterelle - Spa by JW offers a complete menu of beauty wellness experiences, and is complimented by the Department of Physical Education, which co-ordinates a programme of activities for all.
