AT&T and Boingo announce global wi-fi roaming agreement

Boingo Wireless today announced a global Wi-Fi roaming deal with AT&T, the largest communications holding company in the world.

AT&T customers traveling abroad can now gain access to Boingo’s global network of managed and operated Wi-Fi hotspots via the AT&T Wi-Fi International App. Boingo Wi-Fi hotspots at leading international airports are now available to AT&T customers, with service continuing to expand throughout 2013.

The Boingo network — comprising managed and operated, aggregated and crowdsourced hotspots — includes more than a million Wi-Fi and DAS locations, and reaches more than 1.5 billion people worldwide annually.

Boingo customers will also be able to access AT&T’s network of hotspots in the United States, including airports, restaurants, sporting arenas and retail locations, per the agree[/style]ment.
