Aron Abrams found dead in Hawaii hotel

Hollywood is in mourning today following the announcement the body of producer Aron Abrams was discovered on Christmas day in Hawaii.

Authorities on Big Island are investigating the death of the Los Angeles-based writer, who was found at the Fairmont Orchid Hawaii hotel on the Kohala Coast on Christmas morning.

The cause of death remains unknown, with an autopsy expected to take place on Friday.

Abrams is perhaps best known as writer and co-executive producer for Everybody Hates Chris - starring Chris Rock – as well as his work on Grounded for Life.

In a distinguished career, Abrams also acted as co-producer for 3rd Rock from the Sun and a consulting producer of the long-running animated series King of the Hill.

The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reported paramedics arrived at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel early Saturday morning and found no signs of trauma.

Following his death his writing partner, Greg Thompson, told industry magazine Variety Abrams was a “walking compendium” of movie and TV show credits.

Raised in Emerson, N.J.. he attended Oberlin and Connecticut College. Survivors include his wife, Lynn; two daughters; and niece Rachel Abrams.
