Arik Air links London with Ghana with new flight

Arik Air, west and central Africa’s largest commercial carrier, has reinforced expansion plans for its regional West African services, with the introduction of a new schedule for flights between the UK and Ghana.

The new connection, operating via the Lagos hub, means passengers flying with Arik can now enjoy seamless connections to Accra and.

Outbound flights will depart daily from Heathrow Airport, London at 21:30 arriving at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 04:15.

The flight will then continue on to Accra, departing Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 07:20 finally arriving at Kotoka International Airport, Accra at 07:20.

The inbound flight will depart Accra at 06:15 and arrives in Lagos at 08:15.

The flight continues on to London, leaving Lagos at 11:30 and arriving in Heathrow at 1845. 

Arik Air’s group chief executive Michael Arumemi-Ikhide said of the new schedule: “The new schedule between London Heathrow and the Accra, Ghana, is significant because it marks the latest step forward in our expansion program into our West African services.

“Arik Air is now better positioned than any other West African airline to provide an extensive range of connections from the UK to West Africa.”
