A&N Media – the publishing giant behind the Daily Mail – has launched MailTravel, a new bookings website.
In an attempt to monetise its huge online following, the site will offer holiday bookings to the 5.7 million daily visitors to the Mail Online websites.
Key suppliers to the new venture include Riviera Travel and Newmarket Holidays.
While bookings will not initially be taken online, call centre fulfilment for the site will be provided by Travel Solutions Group.
A&N commercial enterprise head of travel Andy Hancock, said: “Travel products sold under the Mail Travel brand have direct access to the affluent
Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday readership.
“We hand pick and create great travel experiences tailored to our readership, as well as offering relevant, timely and targeted flash offers.
“Our new online sales capability will deliver increasing volume, allow us to diversify our product mix and centralise the customer journey.”
