Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, announces the appointment of senior rail executive Thomas Drexler as Director of Rail, Amadeus.

Drexler brings a wide knowledge of the travel industry. In his most recent role, Thomas was Vice President of Sales at Deutsche Bahn, where he held commercial roles for the last eight years. Previously, Thomas worked at Lufthansa in Online Sales, Lufthansa IT Services and also for two years at Start Amadeus (currently Amadeus Germany) in Corporate Development and Strategy.

The appointment of Thomas follows the company’s recent establishment of a new businesses division, led by Francisco Pérez-Lozao, to invest in the company’s diversification and grow its hotel, rail, ground transportation and airport IT businesses.
