Alex Willats has been appointed as general manager of the Dusit Thani Bangkok, Thailand.

Prior to his appointment, Alex joined Dusit Thani Bangkok as resident manager accepting a dual role as the acting general manager - a tenure which he held for the last six months.

A British national, Alex came to Dusit in October 2010 from the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he was executive assistant manager with Radisson Hotels and also held a consulting role for a luxury resort Al Areen Palace & Spa.

He has more than 15 years experience in the hospitality industry and has held senior management positions in some of the leading hotels in the UK, including The Ritz and Claridge’s Hotel London.

“Alex’s wealth of experience has been gained from having worked at some of the leading international hotels in the world, which will be a great asset to the Dusit Thani Bangkok’s ongoing endeavours to deliver to its guests the richness of Thai culture and hospitality through service excellence that remains world class,” said Jiri Kobos, vice president – Operations, Dusit International.
