Family Holidays in Italy

Children’s World at Forte Village is the place every child dreams of for their holidays; with mini guests free to indulge in one of the ten pools, enjoy the cinema, take a specialty cooking lesson or even form a band - all the while under the friendly, caring eye of the Forte staff.

For older children, there are tennis and rugby lessons with international celebrities including the likes of Pat Cash and Austin Healy, or football with Chelsea Football Club.

The more adventurous might like to book a sailing trip to discover the stunning coasts of South Sardinia, or a visit to the nearby archaeological sites.

After sundown, holidaymakers can enjoy a drink by the sea in the Blue Moon bar followed by a show in Maria Luigia square or a browse around the Arcade boutiques selling the latest in Italian and international fashion.

Wellbeing, relaxation and health treatments are guaranteed in the Thermae del Forte spa thanks to the six thalassotherapy pools and multiple award-winning spa named on several occasions as one of the Small Leading Spas of the World.

For the business minded, Forte Village Resort also has more than 18 meeting rooms from 15 to 750m2 in size, equipped with the latest in technology and professional staff for your events and meetings.

This year Forte Village Resort has once again been recognized by World Travel Awards, with the property nominated as the World’s Leading Family Resort, World’s Leading Green Resort, World’s Leading Meetings & Conference Hotel and – most excitingly of all – World’s Leading Resort.

The historic Castel Monastero

Next up is Castel Monastero, set in the classic landscape of Tuscany with vineyards, wheat fields and long rows of cypresses providing a wonderful backdrop.

Just 23 km from Siena – in the small 11th century medieval village of Castelnuovo Berardenga – the hotel hosts 75 rooms and suites, as well as an elegantly appointed villa.

A renovation project has preserved the charm of the Tuscan residences, adding elements of contemporary design, with full respect for the local culture and paying particular attention to the environment.

The Castelmonastero Spa has the architecture of a Tuscan country farmhouse. The historic walls are interrupted in places by immense windows, and in these thousand square metres everything is designed to take away the mind from daily life and provide it with relaxation and inner peace.

The restaurant Contrada, which boasts the contribution of chef Gordon Ramsay who has accumulated more than ten Michelin stars at the restaurants he manages, is also in line with this attitude towards wellness.

For those who wish to continue their fitness programme at the table, Gordon Ramsay has created a special, extremely tasty and creative menu for the Castel Monastero Spa combining Italian tradition with the principles of low fat and sugar content.

Guests can also rediscover their fitness and pleasure in life thanks to Dr Mosaraf Ali, with the doctor guiding guests through a series of rejuvenating treatments.
