Holiday Hypermarket Launches “A Doll’s Life” Travel Microsite

Barbie and Ken – or Betty and Dave, in this case – explore eight of the most affordable and exciting festive-season destinations ranging from Morocco to the Maldives in a new HTML5 microsite launched by TUI-owned company, Holiday Hypermarket. Visit the Doll’s Life infographic to view the full list of destinations.

The site features photos of the dolls as they explore some of Britain’s most popular hotspots, including Florida, Jamaica and Cyprus. According to the online retailer, there was a surge in families searching for sunny getaways at the end of this year due to what others have dubbed a ‘summer holiday delay’ caused by national events held in Britain in 2012.

The project tracks the plastic couple’s journey across the globe, and provides brief destination guides, highlighting the possibility that there’s still time to book last-minute holidays this festive season

E-Commerce Manager at Holiday Hypermarket, Calum Macdonald, comments: “For those who delayed their summer getaway or who are struggling with the winter cold, we’ve put together a caption competition of the best winter holidays to book this year.

We wanted to present them in a fun, tongue-in-cheek way, and also to offer eight of the funniest entrants £100 holiday vouchers with our compliments. One lucky winner will also win an additional £500 towards a holiday of their choice.”
