Cruise lines, ports and retail agents alike have embraced the concept of winter cruising, not forgetting the cruise passengers themselves. For the lines it’s a chance to address the seasonality challenge and boost yields, ports welcome the chance to extend their season, retail agents to sell a new product and passengers to enjoy visit attractions off-peak in more moderate temperatures. Winter cruising is not without its challenges however; sound itinerary planning and weatherproof shorex are essential. There is also still great scope for growth and development.
The 2nd Seatrade Winter Cruising Forum will hear cruise lines and stakeholders examine increased winter deployment in the Med and around the world and what more can be done to ensure that challenges are overcome and positive trends continue.
