Air transport is vital for the socio-economic development of Africa, with growth above the global average driving an increase in trade and tourism traffic. A series of Oxford Economics studies commissioned by IATA reveals that air transport generates $ 67.8 billion in GDP for Africa and supports 6.7 million jobs.
