The budgetary crisis in Greece and the consequently strict measures taken to overcome it, created social agitation which affected tourist bookings, however, international tour operators estimate that this trend is temporary and thus the tourist flow will soon reach the normal standards. Indicative is the research conducted by TUI amongst its clients in mid-April, which shows that 49% of German tourists will visit Greece in the coming years despite the economic crisis, 42,9% prefers other destinations, and only 6,3% states that is affected by the crisis and will avoid visiting Greece.
These conclusions point out the dynamic of the Greek Tourism which, in combination to the resurgence of the global economy that has already began this year, may fairly expect improvement in tourist flow as from 2011.
