Balearic Islands welcome British travellers back

As Spain open its borders, the Balearic Islands tourism body has launched a new promotional video.

The production showcases beautiful footage from across the archipelago, comprising the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

In just 44 seconds, the video showcases images of the islands’ underwater scenes, turquoise waters and golden sand beaches, cultural sites such as La Seu; Palma’s famous gothic cathedral, and the ancient megalithic monuments of Menorca, as well as traditional whitewashed buildings and rural landscapes.

Vicent Torres, deputy director of the Balearic Islands Tourism Board, said: “This short video illustrates why so many British travellers of all ages and tastes choose our islands time after time for their holidays.

“The hash tag #CantWaitToGoBack echoes how many people are feeling about our islands and we also wanted to demonstrate that we are equally looking forward to welcoming our guests back.

“We hope this video reminds British residents what is awaiting them in the Balearic Islands.”
