World Travel Awards announces nominations for Grand Final
The World Travel Awards has announced that the nominees for its World Ceremony. Travel professionals now have the opportunity to cast their votes for the brands they think deserve to win the industry’s most coveted award. This year is expected to smash all previous WTA voting records with a record-breaking 16,000 travel professionals having already registered to vote within the past four months, bringing the total number of voters to 183,000.

Africa glitters in travel triumph
The World Travel Awards Africa Ceremony took place at a star-studded event last night at the Durban ICC. More than 200 organisations were nominated in 75 categories for the Africa region, ranging from airlines and hotels to travel agencies and game safaris, with the continent’s senior travel leaders turning out in force.South African Airways won “Africa’s Leading Airline”, Starwood Hotels picked up “Africa’s Leading Hotel Brand” and The Mount Nelson Hotel was voted “Africa’s Leading Hotel”.
